Producing Plastic Parts in a Range of Sizes

At Vollrath Manufacturing Services, we provide you with a range of plastic injection molding processes for all your new product development needs. Our plastic injection molding facility houses 14 machines that vary in capacity and shot size to accommodate a wide range of part sizes. In addition to injection molding, we also provide you with options in over molding, blow molding, and thermoforming to best suit your new product design needs.

We are experienced in integrated work cells, allowing us to achieve inline flow of various processes for faster production, such as metal stamping and forming, spot welding, overmolding, and product assembly.

Material Options to Best Suit Your Product Design

Our knowledgeable sourcing team has the ability to source a range of materials in order to provide you with a variety of types, quantity, and quality. This allows us to be responsive to your needs and help get your new product to market faster. We can source product from a wide range of other suppliers, including domestic and international, as needed.

Using our extensive list of commodity and engineered grade resins, we work with you to select the best option to meet your desired product characteristics, such as impact resistance, scratch resistance gloss, chemical resistance, and stiffness.

Total Process Control For Enhanced Productivity

Manufacturing Execution System

Our Dane facility is fully integrated with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), providing production staff with data capture capabilities, quality control, alerts, and traceability. MES gives staff access to real-time manufacturing information and helps to improve plant productivity and eliminate machine downtime. Productivity is increased by providing accurate 24/7 manufacturing information of plant operations.

This system supports reduced scrap and machine downtime, improves cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness. The Manufacturing Execution System allows operations to be proactive in anticipating and solving manufacturing problems before they occur, providing you with quality parts that are on schedule.

Quality Control

Our quality system has an integrated interface with our MES production monitoring system. We employ manufacturing control plans for all production items, startup approval process, and periodic quality checks during shift production to ensure your parts are up to spec. We have capabilities in both destructive and non-destructive testing.

Our MES system provides a searchable historical database of historical product specifications for traceability. All startup, inspection, and quality data is archived for data analysis and lot control.

Custom Tooling Design & Build

Our in-house tooling engineer controls tool design and build with our tool shops and interfaces with the product design team to ensure efficient, time-sensitive construction of tooling. Providing full in-house custom tooling allows us to control the process from design through production. We also offer a vast selection of in-stock tool dies that can potentially be modified to create the part you need in order to get a fast and cost-efficient start on your new product development.
